Made a trip to Borough market today to find some Italian porcini mushrooms. I bought three gorgeous ones, they looked like they had just been picked. And unlike the porcini we get in Vancouver, they weren’t crawling with worms!
I made a pasta with the mushrooms sauteed in butter with a little garlic, some chili, some fresh parsley and a big handful of parmesan. Perfect for this windy fall evening. The only thing missing was a glass of wine…
New post tomorrow, I promise. I am no longer in the throes of catatonic malaise. Just finished a week working soups/staff meal/room service/hellfire. Have a day off tomorrow and am going to the Borough Market, supposedly the greatest farmer’s market in London. Will report back with full photo coverage.
